Almond/Walnut Flour Bread

The source for this recipe is unknown to me. Originaly it was for Almond Flour Bread only.


I multiply the recipe by 6 to get a nice loaf of bread out of it.


1/4 cup almond/walnut flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of HCS

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoon melted butter (I use coconut oil. Multiplied by 6 I melt only 10 tablespoon of the coconut oil)


mix ingredients


beat egg white and stir it under the mixture


bake in a with butter coded cake form for 30 minutes @ 180° C / 355 F


If mulitplied by 6 bake it for 40 to 45 minutes. 




How to get Almond/Walnut flour: make your own almond/walnut milk


1 cup almond

1 cup walnut


Put nuts into bowl, cover about 3 cm above the nuts with water and let them sit for a few hours.


Rins nuts well, pour into blender and fill it up with water until the line "5 cup". Blend a couple of times for a few mintues.


Prepare 2 cheese cloths in a large bowl, pour milk into the cloths and squeeze until no more liquid comes out. You have your delicious milk! :-)


Spread the almond/walnut meat onto a baking sheet which is layed out with a wax paper or into a fire resistant glass dish. Let it dry in the oven at 225 F for approx. 30 minutes. Take it out, stir the mixute a few times and keep it on the counter until it is totally dry. In a food processor grind it to flour.


Since the flour contains naturally oil, I keep my almond/walnut flour in the fridge.
